I'm a Southern Californian, born and raised, now attending college in the heart of the Financial District. Combined with being driven and competitive young woman, I'm surrounded by other even more competitive and better dressed and more capable college students. It's easy to get lost and loose sight of my roots in my homeschooled background. Yet, this background can either set high standards for the student, romanticize life or press them until they snap once they are in charge of their own lives. I hope to address these current struggles for the stereotyped homeschooler and warn the up and coming generation of sheltered kids of what's to come.
